Why you should vote for Zori: Let's talk powers! [Part 1/2]

So I asked a question for the @sonic-oc-showdown for people to answer, and I was just gonna reply with what Zori can do specifically, but then I remembered that due to the uh..... unique situation Sonic Lost World has, I thought that more elaboration might have been needed on one of the newer species to the Sonic Canon before I got into the nitty gritty... So let's get started with:

Bog Standard Zeti Powers.

I'll be honest, Zeti are one of the most broken species I've ever seen in a video game series, and that makes them so much fun to create with. A fabled race of actual heckin' demons [No joke, they were just gonna referred to as Oni until some pushback from SoA,] they're known for their Enhanced Speed, Enhanced Strength, they have the ability to use Energy Projection. Which, mind you, allows them to do feats such as making tethers to grab things all the way up to firing lasers and creating energy bombs. There's also the Enhanced Durability! Makes it where you have to do a lot of work to take one down, and they have the Longevity to live to be at least 1000 years old. Minimum.

But the trait I find that makes them super unique in the Sonic-verse, is their shared species ability to use Electromagnetic Manipulation. What does that mean? If you use anything that needs electricity to function, you are screwed. You use a Gear? It's theirs now. Trying to Radio for help? That message is officially scrambled. You got cybernetics, or are a robot? You poor bastard. The only real nerf they have is the sound of a conch shell that's can be easily knocked out of someone's hand. [Well, that and the current IDW comics added a signal jammer that prevents them from using their powers, as well as anything with EMP shielding.] And that's just scratching the surface.

For whatever reason, Zeti not only get all of these, but depending on which version of Sonic Lost World you play, they have the power of FLIGHT. Just... shirk off the bonds of gravity, and take off like a heckin' plane. It's absolutely bonkers, and I love every bit of it. But if things are worth doing, they're worth overdoing, so I gave Zori one other trait that is also found in this species, but I feel hasn't been used to it's fullest potential, but THAT is going to be saved for the second part of this little ramble:

there's a really funny 3d printing controversy going on btw.

if you don't know, there's a very popular 3d printing model out there called "benchy". this is used for benchmarking your 3d printer because it's a difficult print and will help test it out.

this is so widely used that people make their own little versions of it, remixing the 3d model to make benchy look cooler and stuff. however, a new company owns the benchy license. they are sending copyright takedowns to all those who wrongfully uploaded the benchy model.

of course, this is pissing off the 3d printing community greatly. everyone loved benchy and have used it for years. so someone on reddit decided to make a new model that is designed as a 3d printing stress test. one that works a lot like benchy, and people are freely able to edit it as they please. you know what they called it?

you tell a bitch to keep their cat indoors and suddenly their town is the first in the world to have eradicated every viral, bacterial and parasitic disease, they invented completely harmless cars, dogs and predators dont exist either but somehow the native songbird population is fine since the cats in this place have lost the hunting instinct, there's no pollutants or toxic plants and human cruelty has ceased to exist. and mr mittens has a chip in his brain that will explode if he doesnt go outside 10 hours of the day
